William Sam Nutt
Case Western Reserve University

Sam Nutt is a second year student at Case Western Reserve University where he studies biochemistry and Chinese. He has worked in the Environmental Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory for two summers. Along with addressing the environmental impacts of various nuclear waste management processes, he has focused on the opportunities to use Citizen Science to involve communities in the scientific process and decision making within this field.

Sam has worked directly with sponsors from the US Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy, and he has also interacted with many scientists in a variety of fields while at Argonne, all of which have influenced his future goals. Currently, he plans to continue performing research at Case in structural biology and biochemistry as well as environmental science, with goals to enter either the medical field or academia.
