Long Kiu (Edgar) Chung

Edgar Chung is a senior at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration on Manufacturing Systems, and minoring in Art & Design, with a focus on graphic design. Under the mentorship of Professor Kimberlee J. Kearfott and Professor Yongjun Ye in the Radiological Health Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences, his research focuses on manufacturing of a Geiger-Mueller detector, computational fluid dynamics of radon gas, and radiation simulation using Wi-Fi signals. His work results in authorship in 2 publications and 29 conference abstracts. He has conducted 1 oral presentation and 7 poster presentations in research conferences, including the 2019 University Program Review Meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina, and the 63rd and 64th Health Physics Society Annual Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio, and Orlando, Florida.
