Junghyun Bae
Purdue University

Junghyun Bae is a Ph.D. student in the School of Nuclear Engineering at Purdue University. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear and Quantum Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in South Korea and a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, he came to Purdue University for his doctorate degree in Nuclear Engineering. He served in the U.S. Army as a KATUSA for 2 years in the CBRN division and was discharged from the service as a sergeant. 
He is currently working on Purdue University research reactor (PUR-1) and his research interests are spent nuclear fuel management, decommissioning, nonproliferation, radiation detection, and research reactor. Mr. Bae is also a member of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) and the Institute of Nuclear Material Management (INMM).
