Dan Guo
The University of Western Ontario, Canada

Dan Guo is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Western Ontario. He is working under the supervision of Dr. J. Clara Wren. Dan received his bachelor of science in materials science and engineering from Beihang University, Beijing, China. Dan's research work involves studying the corrosion behavior of carbon steel, the material used for the inner vessel of Canada's proposed container for the storage of spent fuel. Dan is currently performing modeling calculations of the predicted corrosion damage of the interior of the used fuel container, to determine the effect of different solution properties, such as pH, ionic strength, and O2 concentration on the corrosion process.
