Ashley Meyer
North Carolina State University

Ashley Meyer is a graduating senior at North Carolina State University, pursuing a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering with a minor in Russian Studies. It did not take long to discover that the tail end of the fuel cycle was the right place for her, as it combines her fascination with nuclear energy with her desire to increase the longevity of the world we live in. Thus far she has had the privilege to do four years of undergraduate research in NCSU’s Nuclear Materials lab and work as a Radiological Controls intern at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, which have both further solidified her career aspirations of managing nuclear waste. When she’s not poring over her homework and research, Ashley loves to travel to far away, cold places, collect bug specimens, and read sci fi novels.
