Amanda Yancoskie

Amanda Yancoskie is a current masters student studying environmental engineering at Florida International University (FIU). Amanda currently works part-time as a graduate research assistant at the Applied Research Center at FIU as part of the Department of Energy (DOE) fellows program. Her current research is focused on developing a surface water contaminant transport model for the Tims Branch watershed at the Savannah River Site (SRS). As part of the DOE fellows program, Amanda got to intern at SRS with the Savannah River National Lab (SRNL) last summer and assisted in developing a dam break model for the two dams on site. Amanda wishes to further her understanding of hydrology, groundwater hydrology, and contaminate fate and transport, specifically nuclear contamination. In her free time, she enjoys baking, knitting, and fishkeeping.
